The Ocean Shores Chamber of Commerce proudly sponsored the 8th Annual Shop Ocean Shores program.  This fun and successful annual event runs from October 15th through December 31st every year.

The Shop Ocean Shores (SOS) winners for its 8th annual edition were announced Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center

Lynn Longfield, a $100.00 cash winner from Tacoma, commented: "I promise to spend it in Ocean Shores!"

Over $270,000.00 in 'tickets' were reported this year. Tim Gibbs, Executive Director of the Grays Harbor Economic Development Council, proposes that .68 cents of every dollar spent locally, re-circulates locally. Using this formula, SOS was responsible for almost $184,00.00 re-circulating throughout our community. Over the last eight years, 'ticket' receipts total over $900,000.00.

This program is a way for participating merchants and sponsors from the Ocean Shores.North Beach Chamber of Commerce to promote shopping locally, whether shoppers are visitors to the area or local residents. For every $20.00 of merchandise purchased, and entry 'ticket' was given to the shopper for the $500.00 prize.
